Hi! I'm Laurie, the proud owner and pet stylist at Frisky Friends Mobile Pet Grooming.
I love taking care of animals as they are dependent on us to keep them fed, sheltered, and CLEAN. My home wouldn't be a home without my animal companions. My husband and I love to adopt animals. Seeing the transformation of a shy and confused animal blossom into a happy confident personality makes it worth the adjustment period! I spend most of my free time training my animals and spending time at the barn with my horse and riding on the trails.
My goal as a groomer is to always continue my education to provide the best service I can for your pets.
Where it All Began
In the 90's, my mom was a groomer working out of my childhood home. I grew up being around many small animals and dogs, loving and caring for them since I could push them around in a toddler-sized cart. I distinctively remember watching my mother grooming dogs while I snuggled others in the cages. Those moments of my life were the foundation of my salon, so I named it after my mother's previous grooming business, Frisky Friends Pet Grooming.
In 2015, I started working at a dog boarding and daycare, where I studied animal communication and behaviors. I always wanted to pursue grooming after this experience because I could see that after a bath, tail wagging, dogs feel good and confident. In 2017, I worked at a corporate grooming company, trained through grooming school, then moved on to mobile grooming for the rest of our time in California. My takeaway was that I enjoy grooming one pet at a time, start to finish, and I found that dogs really enjoyed that, too.
I had been working alongside the previous owner of The House of Paws throughout 2021 and when the opportunity presented itself to own this business, I leaped on the idea. I purchased the business and rebranded to Frisky Friends Pet Grooming. After a year in salon, the building I was working in was no longer available. In 2023 Frisky Friends Mobile Pet Grooming was established. I am now working out of a van professionally converted into a grooming salon on wheels!

At Frisky Friends Mobile Pet Grooming your pets are handled humanely with high standards for safety and cleaning protocols while providing a unique, calm environment. Appointments are made to individualize your pet's care using products specific to your pet's needs. Additionally, I am always continuing my education through grooming/pet expos, webinars, and in-person and online training. Taking care of animals both at work and at home brings me so much joy!
